Quantum Imaging, a SCD.USA Company, introduces a high definition Shortwave Infrared (SWIR) camera, the QI-SWIR-HD10

Colorado Springs, CO, August 30, 2018- Quantum Imaging, a SCD.USA Company, introduces a high definition Shortwave Infrared (SWIR) camera known as the QI-SWIR-HD10; it is QI's newest addition to its line of high-performance Short Wave Infrared (SWIR) cameras. The low-noise, miniaturized SWIR camera provides customers with an unprecedented image quality combined with the high resolution needed in today’s emerging imaging applications.

The QI-SWIR-HD10 camera is a low noise camera with extended spectral range from 0.5μm to 1.7μm. The camera uses SCD’s latest 1280 x 1024 format InGaAs detector with 10μm pixel pitch. The advanced digital ROIC provides advanced programmable on-chip features and very low noise performance. A proprietary non-uniformity correction “NUC” provides non-uniformity correction over the -40°C to +70°C operating range with full performance from -35°C to +55°C. A key feature of the FPA is on-chip digital Asynchronous Laser Pulse Detection (ALPD) that is enabled by proprietary circuitry on the FPA. ALPD provides a full-frame 2-Dimensional capture and X-Y position of short duration laser pulses in both daytime and nighttime. Multiple asynchronous spots can be tracked in the same FOV. This capability is completely independent of imaging, assuring optimal imaging capability with laser pulse detection.

David Gardner, QI Executive VP- “Our new SWIR HD camera’s performance, reliability and low SWaP make it ideal for use in a variety of military and industrial applications including laser beam profiling, semiconductor and solar cell production, enhanced vision and persistent surveillance.” “We’re very excited about this new addition to the Quantum Imaging family of products.”
Quantum Imaging will be featuring the QI-SWIR-HD10 camera at the AUSA conference in Washington DC October 8-10, 2018, at the SCD.USA booth #4025
