Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Oversight: Develop project schedules, define scopes, and manage resources to ensure projects stay on track and within budget.
  • Technical Design & Validation: Lead the design and development of electronic systems, including PCB layout, circuit schematics, FPGA architectures (VHDL) and embedded software.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams (e.g., software, mechanical, and manufacturing).
  • Troubleshooting & Testing: Direct functional, operational, and environmental tests, and perform root-cause analysis on failures to implement design improvements.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports, bills of materials (BOM), project status updates, and user manuals

Essential Skills

  • Technical Expertise:  Proficiency in VHDL FPGA/SoC, experience in PCB circuit design and knowledge of electronic theory. Experience in imaging data processing and IR camera technology is a plus.
  • Project Management: Skills in using MS Project or similar software to track timelines, costs, and deliverables.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve complex design and testing issues systematically.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills and managing team dynamics

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 10- 15 years of work experience in the fast paced, high demand industry

Job Description

The Senior Quality Engineer/Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for defining, monitoring, improving production service quality along with monitoring, approving, disapproving and auditing company suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement quality control system and inspection procedures ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Identifies and analyzes root causes and works with production and engineering teams on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues.
  • Conducts audits of manufacturing and engineering processes, materials and suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Develops and maintains quality documentation including test plans, inspection reports, statistical analyses and all FAI’s.
  • Collaborates with engineering, production and support teams to implement process improvements and ensure product reliability.
  • Monitor quality metrics such as defect rates, process capability and customer complaints to drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and manage calibration
  • Monitor and manage hazardous chemicals
  • Owns NCMR process for non-conforming items hosting a weekly meeting with appropriate department personnel to disposition non-conforming material.
  • Work closely with purchasing to process non-conforming material through the RMA process back to the supplier and both initiating and processing through supplier SCARs.
  • Conduct vendor site inspections as required.
  • Ownership of Vendor Quality Assessment and Monitoring process to include ownership of AVL and all accompanying documentation.
  • Prepare monthly reports related to established KPI’s for company and vendors
  • Collect Conflict Mineral reporting from approved vendors and generate Conflict Minerals Report (CMRT) for the company.
  • Support customer and AS/ISO audits.

Qualifications

The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring all program requirements are seen through to acceptable completions (cost, quality, delivery).  The Program Manager also conducts budgeting, forecasting and reporting, program planning, proposal development, execution, monitoring, and control and reporting; serves as the primary program point of contact to the customer, executive management and the program team; and is responsible for managing and coordinating resource utilization across multiple programs.  The Program Manager must display excellent skills in management, employee relations and planning in a rapidly growing company.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of programs from inception through completion
  • Responsible for overseeing cost, schedule, and technical performance over multiple programs
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to schedules, identify program problems and enact solutions, such as allocation of resources and contractual specifications (scope)
  • Effectively communicate programmatic expectations and goals to leadership and program team
  • Understanding of the practices used in functional testing, operational readiness of program hardware and logistical support from original concept through final implementation
  • Track program progress and conduct status meetings with Program Team
  • Provide direction to Program Team to mitigate program risks

This individual acts as the technical bridge between the engineering team, internal product development and customers. This role focuses on translating customer requirements into practical solutions using SCD.USA and Quantum Imaging products and systems. The role requires both deep technical understanding of imaging systems and excellent communication skills to support pre-sale engagements, system demonstrations and post-sales technical support.

Responsibilities

Technical Customer Engagement

  • Work directly with customers to gather application requirements and define system performance goals.
  • Conduct technical presentations, system demonstrations and product evaluations tailored to customer needs.
  • Provide technical expertise during the sales cycle to support proposals, proofs of concept and product validation.

Solution Development & Support

  • Analyze and diagnose customer application challenges and propose appropriate hardware and software solutions.
  • Configure, integrate and test imaging and sensor systems to meet customer application specifications.
  • Document technical requirements, test results and solution recommendations.
  • Assist configuring imaging parameters, optimizing system settings and troubleshooting product issues.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with R&D and product engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and influence product improvements.
  • Support product development of application-specific tools, scripts or documentation to enhance solution delivery.
  • Work with manufacturing and quality assurance teams on special build requirements, custom configurations or performance testing.

Documentation and Training

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years’ experience in applications engineering, systems integration, or technical customer-facing roles — preferably in imaging, sensors, infrared, or related technologies.
  • Strong understanding of imaging/sensor systems, electronics, optics, and signal processing.
  • Experience with system configuration, instrument control, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Travel is 25% – 30%

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience with infrared (IR), SWIR, NIR, or related imaging technologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for data analysis and automation.
  • Familiarity with detector performance metrics and test / measurement tools.
  • Experience supporting DoD, defense, or government programs.
  • Willingness to travel (customer sites, trade shows, demos).
